And what a fantastic birthday it was!! On the day before my birthday (Friday) I celebrated with my kids at school. My wonderful mother sent homemade treats for my entire class - cake pops and chocolate alligators - that we enjoyed during snack time. My team teacher had the entire gifted 3rd grade make and illustrate cards for me. Many of them were orange and blue with alligators, and a few more involved diet coke or flip flops. Do these kids know me or what?! One student even made me a "Teacher Flip Flop" - a pink bar eraser with two blue paper clips taped on. Too cute.
On my actual birthday (Saturday), Jay and I took advantage of our annual passes and went to Universal Studios, just the two of us. It was such a nice way to celebrate the beginning of a new decade of my life. :) We just went at our own pace, enjoyed the great weather, and hopped on some rides we had not done in over 10 years.

Hanging with the minions on my 30th!
Gru - Outside the Despicable Me ride - I cannot wait for it to open!
Jay with Batman (Yes he needs a haircut and a shave) :)
This squirrel was cracking us up - He was stealing food out of the stroller basket! He even left at one point and brought a friend back to share his finds! :)
Jay got me a Minion!! So excited!
